"Roll Over Beethoven" es un conocido hit de 1956 del cantante y guitarrista Chuck Berry. La canción habla del deseo que el rock and roll y el rhythm and blues sustituyan a la música clásica. La canción está en el lugar #97 de la Lista de Rolling Stone de las 500 mejores canciones de todos los tiempos.
Según la Rolling Stone y Cub Koda de All Music Guide (AMG), Berry escribió la canción en respuesta a su hermana Lucy que siempre utilizaba el piano de la casa para tocar música clásica cuando Berry quería tocar música contemporánea.

Además de los compositores Beethoven y Tchaikovsky, la letra hace mención o alusión a varios artistas populares. "Early in the morning" es el título de una canción de Louis Jordan y "Blue Suede Shoes" se refiere a la canción de Carl Perkins. Por último, "Hey diddle diddle" viene del poema infantil "The Cat and the Fiddle". La canción que sin duda es un rock and roll se supone que está más relacionada con el rhythm and blues.

Esta canción es muy versionada por otros músicos—"un elemento básico de las bandas de rock & roll" según Koda—con versiones destacadas de Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles y Electric Light Orchestra. Otras versiones han sido las de Mountain, Status Quo, The Rolling Stones, The Byrds, 13th Floor Elevators, The Sonics, Gene Vincent, Uriah Heep en Uriah Heep Live y la banda australiana Buster Brown en su álbum de 1974 Something to Say. En 1992, la banda de heavy metal inglesa Iron Maiden la versionó y la publicó como el lado B del single "From Here to Eternity".
